How to find a public crew

Open Start game, then use Find Crew to inspect open sessions. The browser shows each session’s state, stage and player count, so compare those details before choosing. The official update allows joining an ongoing run without waiting for that team to return to its lobby.

A listing is not a guarantee that it will still be available when selected. If joining fails, recheck the listing and compare game versions and branches with your friends. The October 6 beta instructions explicitly require lobby members to use the same branch; do not assume a public build can join a test-branch session.

What changed when moving a cart onto a lift?

The platform now aligns with the floor, reducing the edge that previously caught carts. The lift stops when an obstacle is below it, and continued cranking no longer pushes the cabin farther down onto that obstruction. Players, cargo and carts should ride with less bouncing according to the patch notes.

If a lift stops, check for an obstruction before treating it as a missing control or forcing the crank. That is a practical response to the documented rule, not a promise that every elevator bug is fixed. When reporting a remaining issue, record the location, travel direction and whether loose cargo was underneath.

Why did the FPS limit setting disappear?

The update hides the FPS-limit option while VSync is enabled and fixes a conflict between those settings. A missing limiter with VSync on is therefore expected behavior, not proof that the menu is broken. If you want to use the limiter, first check the VSync state.

Maximum PC texture sizes were reduced to lower memory use. No hardware-specific benchmark or guaranteed frame-rate improvement was published. Keep comparisons on the same device and settings; do not interpret a smaller memory footprint as a promised FPS target.

Two equipment fixes worth checking before hauling

Cover can wrap an empty rum bottle, not a full bottle. If a full bottle refuses wrapping, do not spend time repeating that interaction as though it were supported. This restriction does not establish a complete list of every wrappable item.

Placing a cauldron on the monkey works again. The same update also prevents the jellyfish vignette from obscuring settings during an attack. These are dated corrections; they do not provide item prices, damage statistics or a new monster spawning map.

Read this alongside the October 9 update

This article documents October 1, not the latest progression rules. October 9 subsequently added permanent upgrade cards, a shared preparation table and a chapter reset. Returning players should read that migration notice before continuing an old run plan.

The October 1 announcement advertised a sale ending October 8. That offer is historical and is not presented here as a current discount.
