Information this site collects

The site does not ask visitors to create an account or submit personal information. On the canonical production domain, Adsterra advertising resources are requested from third-party advertising servers. Those services may receive request data such as an IP address, browser type, device or operating-system information, referring page, and ad interaction data under their own policies.

The hosting provider may also retain standard request, security, and performance logs under its own terms. Die Together Wiki does not install a separate first-party analytics script.

Cookies and local storage

The site stores one versioned local preference recording whether non-essential advertising was accepted or rejected. It normally uses localStorage and can use a first-party, same-site cookie fallback when a localStorage write is unavailable. This choice lets the site remember the decision on a return visit; guide content and the co-op troubleshooter do not depend on accepting advertising.

When advertising is allowed, Adsterra and advertising partners may use cookies, pixels, or similar browser storage and identifiers to deliver, measure, protect, or tailor advertising. Blocking or rejecting an ad must not prevent the guide or tool from working.

Advertising choices

Visitors can accept advertising or reject non-essential advertising when the choice panel is shown. The site uses a hosting-provider country signal to decide whether an initial advertising choice is required, but its privacy-region endpoint returns only a yes-or-no requirement and does not return or store the country in the browser.

Use Privacy Choices in the footer at any time to review or change the stored decision. Rejecting stops future advertising requests; the page may reload after revocation so previously initialized advertising resources are removed cleanly.

Links to Steam, RetroStyle Games, SteamDB, GitHub, and Adsterra lead to third-party services with separate privacy practices. GitHub issues are public; users are responsible for removing personal or confidential information before posting.

Policy changes

This policy is revised when the site’s actual advertising, analytics, forms, accounts, embeds, or local-preference configuration changes. The effective date will change with any material update.
