Returning-player checklist after the reset

A lower chapter position after this update is an announced migration effect, not by itself proof of save corruption. Check that the game has updated, then use the current chapter selector. Avoid deleting saves or trying an old chapter-unlock workaround merely because your previous position is absent.

Veterans are promised a unique skin. The announcement does not specify a separate claim form, a precise eligibility cutoff or a manual recovery process. This fan wiki cannot grant skins or repair account inventory.

  • Check whether your friends are on the public branch or the optional beta.
  • Review personal earnings and unlocks at the summary screen.
  • Agree on the shared table loadout before all players ready up.
Step-by-step upgrade-card guide

Permanent progression changes the next-run plan

Quota earnings now persist per player across runs and crews. Equipment unlocks and upgrades are permanent, while the table decides which ordinary items appear in the next level. The base table has four shared slots at every party size; an extra purchased slot benefits the team while the purchaser is present.

This means older chapter-only shopping advice is incomplete. Read actual upgrade prices in the game rather than using a September shop table as a complete card catalog. The named transport branch is cauldron, then cart, then monkey carrier; a full ranked tree has not been published.

Day restarts and the new tutorial

After a wipe, players present vote on restarting the day. The recovery described by the release is half the delivered quota as coins, followed by shopping and another table setup. Neither the voting threshold nor a per-player refund calculation is stated.

The tutorial now introduces the summary window, a first purchase and the table. Completing it grants a tutorial skin. Its second day uses a real level and leads into the first chapter. Returning players can use those teaching steps to understand the new preparation loop without treating old tutorial screenshots as a current interface guide.

Crab, Old Pirate and Gargoyle changes

Crab holds are one second shorter; it tires sooner, cannot continuously re-grab and appears less often. The release does not provide the new absolute grab duration or an encounter-rate table. Leave an escape route instead of turning that relative change into an invented safe timer.

Old Pirate moves more slowly, has audible movement, takes longer to aim and uses a longer bomb fuse. Gargoyle navigation now goes around a moving elevator cabin. These are behavior changes, not verified damage values or guaranteed routes through every map.

October 6 beta versus October 9 release

The earlier beta post is useful historical context and provides the matching-branch rule for multiplayer. It is not the current reason to opt into a beta for upgrade cards. This page distinguishes that test announcement from the confirmed main-branch release.

We checked the official Steam archive and News API on October 15. The release date belongs to the game update; the publication and review dates on this article belong to this wiki. No SteamDB build number or undocumented hotfix is inferred.
