October update: what to check now

October 9 reset chapter progress for everyone as meta-progression reached the main branch. Personal quota coins and permanent upgrades now carry across runs and crews; chapter position, unlocked cards and a reconnect are different kinds of progress.

September 25: earlier corrections

Solo: no quota threshold in the first four levels of Chapter 1.

Shops 2–5 start at higher prices, with further increases in shops 4–5. Earned gold is no longer capped on area transitions.

The September 25 wording refers to the first four levels of Chapter 1, while September 10 described the first four chapters as one level each. The announcements do not reconcile those labels. Read the current chapter/level selector and quota display; this wiki does not invent a replacement chapter table.

Before selecting a chapter

Read the level preview before buying for a remembered enemy set. Enemy and boss selection is level-specific. September 10 described one-level early chapters and two-level later chapters, but September 25 uses different Chapter 1 wording. An old chapter number alone is not a reliable description of the run.

  • Record your selected chapter and level separately.
  • Ship begins at level 2; Castle begins at level 4.
  • Do not infer every subsequent location from those two milestones.

Bring a plan, not an assumed price list

Read the actual quota and store prices in your session. The September 14 patch fixed quotas that could drop and unlocked cards that disappeared. There is no published complete current quota or price table to substitute for the screen. Budget only from money your crew actually has.

Record the result after extraction

Mark a chapter complete after the game confirms completion, not after merely reaching the exit. Keep notes about unlocks and achievements separate from completion; their conditions differ. The local progression tracker stores your observations and never reads your Steam save.

A short pre-run decision sheet

The distinctions below separate the official change from the observation you can make in your own run. Practical next steps are guidance, not additional hidden mechanics.

Chapter selectedRead whether it contains one level or two.A one-level opening chapter does not establish the length of later chapters.
Location previewedChoose equipment for the actual level. The location name alone does not identify every enemy or boss.
Quota visibleRecord the target before buying.Use secured money and actual prices, not old balance assumptions.
Run completedRecord the confirmed outcome.Do not mark all achievements complete just because a chapter cleared.
