Separate pool, unlock and spawn position

A pool defines eligible objects. Progression determines when expensive pieces enter that pool. A valid spawn position determines whether an eligible piece can physically appear. September changed all three layers at different times.

The September 14 fix is a useful example: levels 3, 4 and 8 had fewer valid spots than their pools required, so some objects never appeared. Adding positions corrected that shortage without publishing a fixed route or value table.

Expensive does not mean universally available

The September 10 note says valuable pieces arrive progressively rather than all at once. Swordfish received a price correction, but the actual number and unlock level were not given. Keep discovery notes tied to your level rather than promoting a single sighting to a universal rule.

Compare runs fairly

Compare the same location, level and crew size where possible. Record whether an object was damaged and whether it came from a container. September also changed how loot inherits container rotation, which can alter how a familiar object lies on the floor.
